Rugged Redemption

Using a patented design created by the CEO/Founder Sarah Malinowski, this joint mimics our natural knee movement. This is done by looking at our natural femoral-tibial joint articulation and converting that into a mechanical mechanism. As a Mechanical engineer, Sarah saw this as a complex mechanism problem and devoted her Master’s degree in Biomedical engineering to this research.

This design uses a pneumatic actuator to help with both the lift of the foot and cushion of landing with each step. Sensors are worn on the user to help indicate to the actuator the gait of the user. This eliminates the need for manual adjustment from the user. And allowing an All-In-One prosthetic design.

Gone are the days of needing 2 or 3 different prosthetic legs for specific uses.
